my personal top 20 European kitchen brands

After many requests and lots of diliberations I’ve decided to post my own top 20 European brands. Top 20 European kitchen companies, because I simply felt that there are too many great European kitchen brands to limit the list to just top 10.

My Top 20 is based on the following criteria’s:

  • DESIGN – overall product design, esthetics and selection depth (colors, materials, design elements, etc.).
  • PRODUCT INNOVATION – is this a kitchen brand that takes risks, that is on the cutting edge of technology and innovates or just a company that copies others?
  • PRODUCT QUALITY – how well made is the product? Does the company ‘cuts corners’?
  • SERVICE – delivery on time, delivers complete orders, ‘after sale’ service, etc.

I have chosen not to take into consideration COMPANY SIZE, as there is no real direct benefit to the buyer and I’ve already listed the 10 largest European brands.

I also did not factor VALUE because I feel that value is very individual – what one consumer sees as a great value, another may view as cheap. Webster’s definition of Value is – “a fair return or equivalent in goods, services, or money for something exchanged”. Once a kitchen brand has top design, innovation, quality and service, the price will always be higher. Surprizingly, there are a few kitchen brands on this list that have a pretty good value, as well as ranking high on all the other categories.

In the Top 20 European Kitchen 11 Italian kitchen brands, 7 German kitchen companies, one English and one French are in the above list.

So, without further a due and in alphabetical order here are my Top 20 European kitchen Brands:

Honorable mentions: there were a few companies that did not make it to my Top 20 European Kitchen Brands, but deserve a mention. Also in the advise of one of the readers of this blog, i’ve decided to update this post and add a few more (they deserve it!). We’ll call this section the “hors catégorie” (thanks Pierangelo):

Clive Christian – ranked high on DESIGN and if  marketing was a category, will most definitely be included in the Top 20 list.

Marchi – ranked very high on DESIGN and INNOVATION.

Minotti – one of the best in creating the very unique, minimalist and clean look, that goes beyond a kitchen design. Not for everyone and is available only in selected few locations worldwide but Minotti is at the top of the DESIGN category.

LaCornue – though they are really more of an appliance company (ranges, cook tops, etc.) , they do offer cabinets and other elements that allow them to complete a kitchen. Very unique DESIGN, perhaps a trend setter in the high end appliance arena, with HIGH QUALITY products.

Hi. We have been dealing with an Italian Kitchen company, Arrex. We visited their factory in Italy and felt they had a large (reliable looking) set up but their designs are not very appealing/ innovative to market. Other companies which are present in the market (Pakistan) are Veneto Cucine and Scavolini. I would just like to know what category Arrex falls between, also since clientele is extremely price conscious if you could suggest a company better than Veneto and scavolini in terms of quality but of a similar price range. Thanks a lot in advance

    1. kitchenguy

Madran – Arrex is a similar product, to the other two – more or less in the same league.
      kitchenguy

      1. Madran

Hey Thanks for your quick response! Could you suggest a company which is not much higher in price but better in terms of quality and design. Sorry I realise my question isn’t very specific but would appreciate if you could list a few names. Thanks!

        1. kitchenguy

Madran – too many to list… I can answer quick questions, but can’t provide a free study and/or market research…
          Sorry,
          kitchenguy

  2. Madran

Another question, was searching online and Lida Cucina is showing the same collections and exact same images as Arrex. Could there be a link between the companies or maybe a design dispute? which one would you rank higher?

    1. kitchenguy

Madran – Lida Cucina is a local dealer, outside of London, selling Pedini, as their main brand and Arrex as their cheaper option. Not sure why they are not identifying it as Arrex, possibly too many Arrex dealers in the area…
      kitchenguy

  3. Madran

Sorry for bombarding you with questions.. Just one thing, I found record cucine interesting especially Ainoa 4.0. Where would this rank price wise and quality wise. Thanks again

    1. kitchenguy

Madarn – more or less like Arrex and Scavolini.
      kitchenguy

  4. Adam

Hi kitchenguy – first of all, a fantastic write up you have here! The consistency of the answers is second to none! Just a quick question on an Italian maker Mesons’s as I was unable to find any reference on it in the discussion – are they even comparable to makers such as Bulthaup, Valcucine and Toncelli or are we talking a class below? How would rate the 4 companies mentioned?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    1. kitchenguy

Adam – you have them in the right order: Bulthaup, Valcucine and Toncelli. Mesons’s is a few levels below…
      kitchenguy

  5. Delta

    Hi Kitchenguy, awesome blog.

I would like to ask if you would consider Siematic, Boffi, Bulthaup and Poliform as same level? Do you group the kitchens into levels based on price or quality? Is it possible for you to create a bracket for the kitchens so we can more or less have an idea which brands are in the same level?

    Thanks!

    1. kitchenguy

Delta – glad you like the blog!
Boffi and Bulthaup are smaller companies that specialize in the very high-end segment of the market. Their products are unique and are trend setters. SieMatic’s quality is as good but it’s a larger company that needs to appeal to a broader audience and therefore is not as unique. Poliform (which is really Varenna kitchens), is a level below – both in terms of quality, as well as design that is main stream.
      kitchenguy

      1. Delta

        Thanks for your reply!

Which among your top 20 would you say is in the same level as Boffi and Bulthaup? I initially thought that your top 20 companies compete in the exact same market.

Varenna is still a level below SieMatic? But the quote we received from Varenna is more expensive than SieMatic!

Are Scavolini, Leicht, Alno and PWS in the same same level?

        1. kitchenguy

Delta – My Top 20 European Kitchen Brands list is based on the following criteria’s:
DESIGN – overall product design, esthetics and selection depth (colors, materials, design elements, etc.).
PRODUCT INNOVATION – is this a kitchen brand that takes risks, that is on the cutting edge of technology and innovates or just a company that copies others?
PRODUCT QUALITY – how well made is the product? Does the company ‘cuts corners’?
SERVICE – delivery on time, delivers complete orders, ‘after sale’ service, etc.
So, it’s not just quality… but all 20 are of high quality or they wouldn’t be on the list…
The fact that someone charges you more for Varenna than your SieMatic quote, tells me that:
          1. You may not be comparing similar designs.
          2. You may not be comparing similar specs (finish, accesories, etc.)
          3. Someone is overcharging or undercharging you.
          4. Some or all of the above combined…
          Good luck,
          kitchenguy

  6. Luna

Dear Kitchen Guy, please advise: I can’t choose between Poggenpohol and Bulthaup. how do you see them differ? And also how do you see Bulthaup and Bofi differ? Thank you,
I live in NYC and building the house upstate NY

    1. kitchenguy

Luna – between Poggenpohol and Bulthaup, I would pick Bulthaup, hands down. Its a better product and more exciting design. Bofi on the other hand, is an Italian product that is closer to Bulthaup, so here… you need to decide 🙂
      kitchenguy

      1. Delta

        Hi kitchenguy,

It seems that you are really leaning towards Bulthaup in the comments. Is there a brand better than Bulthaup in your opinion? What brand is the closest to Bulthaup aside from Boffi?

        Thanks

        1. kitchenguy

Delta – this is not a short answer and there are too many factors that go into answering it – any of My Top 20 are in that same ballpark.
          kitchenguy

  7. Jo

Hi Choosing a kitchen really can drive you nuts. How would you rate the following please scavolini, nobilia, Veneta cucina , Snaidero and martival? Any advice? Thanks

    1. kitchenguy

Jo – in this order: Snaidero, Nobilia, Scavolini & Veneta cucina. Martival is a completely different animal… It’s a traditional French cabinet manufacturer…
      kitchenguy

      1. Jo

Thanks a lot kitchenguy. If I may ask another question. Abaco is also made by Snaidero. Where would you put it in the list? Thanks

        1. kitchenguy

Jo – same spot as Snaidero.
          kitchenguy

          1. Jo

Thanks kitchenguy. Lovely posts and info.

          2. Jo

Hi kitchen guy. I do apologise for posting queries again.
            1. Where would you put Arrex and Colombini kitchens in the list I asked about?

            2. I’m confused by the guarantees given by the various companies. Some of them including some of the big names give a 2 yr guarantee or a 30 month guarantee, governing any defects from manufacturing. Hinges, supporting weights of drawers etc seem not to vary much between them.

Thanks a lot for your help.

          3. kitchenguy

Jo – 1. At the bottom of your list, with Arrex being similar to Veneta and Colombini lower.
            2. So, what is the question…? Or are you just making a statement…?
            kitchenguy

  8. Ber

    Hi Kitchen guy..

how do you rate the following:
LUBE, STOSA , SPAR, ARAN CUCINE, EFFEQUATRO, GEMAL CUCINE

THANKS IT IS A BIT URGENT

    1. kitchenguy

Ber – they are all about the same quality, but some are very large companies (Aran, Lube, Stosa) and others are very small.
      kitchenguy

  9. Jo

Thanks kitchenguy for your reply as to the makes I mentioned. That helps a lot.
As to my second query: from your experience, what kind of length of guarantee should I expect from a reputable company? I am noticing that even from big companies the guarantees offered vary a lot and I don’t know whether it is justified for their product or whether to get more custom, of course upping their prices sometimes in the process?

  10. Jakub

Kitchenguy, just one more question. Can you pls share your opinion about ernestomeda ? Thank you very much, Jakub

    1. kitchenguy

Jakub – Ernestomeda is owned by Scavolini – its their higher-end line. Its ok, but there are better products than them, at that level.
      kitchenguy

  11. Jakub

and if you had to choose between Varenna Artex and Ernestomeda Emetrica ? what would you go for ? Thanks again, Jakub

    1. kitchenguy

Jakub – if all else is equal (specs, price, design, etc.), I’d go with Varenna.
      kitchenguy

  12. Catherine Fulford

My client wants great design but can’t pay Boffi/Bulthaup prices. Can you please rank the other brands on your list according to price bands (the second tier, the third tier)? Many thanks!

    1. kitchenguy

Catherine Fulford – This is not an easy task – I’m not sure where you are located and there are price diferences between one country to another.
      kitchenguy

  13. Roy

Hello, kindly can you tell me if Nolte is superior from the Italian brands Arrex, Scavolini, Snaidero and Veneta Cucine.

    Thanks
    Roy

    1. kitchenguy

Roy Nolte is not as good as the first three – more like Veneta.
      kitchenguy

  14. P...

Hi Kitchen guy, love your blog… I am looking to purchase a new kitchen. A friend of mine has a Maistri kitchen. I realise it’s not comparable to Siematic but how does it compare to its peers – in kitchen terms I dream of a Porche but may need to settle for a 4 seater family car…

    1. kitchenguy

P… – much better choices than Maistri out there – where are you located?
      kitchenguy

      1. P...

In north west london. I also heard of schuller… But any thoughts would be really appreciated.

  15. cetiin

Hi Kitchen guy… I am looking into a contemporary kitchen. Talked to Valcucine but very slow going with them. What do you think about Bulthaup vs Snaidero vs Valcucine. Also friend of mine says he works with Ernestomeda , Rifra and Aran and can get better pricing. What would you recommend and how do you rate/rank these companies. Thank you for your input. Cetin

    1. kitchenguy

cetiin – Bulthaup is better than Snaidero and somewhat similar to Valcucine, though different in look.
Ernestomeda & Rifra are noce, but a step down. Aran is a couple of steps down.
      kitchenguy

      1. Nathalie

        Hi kitchen guy,
What do you think of Binova Vs Snaidero?
And what about wood veneer Vs laminate?
        Thank you

        1. kitchenguy

Nathalie – Binova was a great product, but than ran into finacial trouble and was bought out by a lower-end company (Miton), so now I dont think there is much difference between them…
          kitchenguy

          1. Nathalie

Thank you for your answer. What’s your opinion on the other matter: laminate vs wood veneer?
Some kitchen showrooms I visited swear by laminate and others recommend wood.
            Any comments on this?

          2. kitchenguy

Nathalie – it’s like asking chicken vs. beef, or beer vs. wine, etc. – both are good and it is a matter of taste, price and the needed durability, etc.

  16. Jean-pierre

    Hi Kitchen Guy,

I’m in the market for a new kitchen (Price is not an issue as I’m after high end quality) and I find ALLMILMÖ the most appealing product to me due to its unique style, high quality and attention to detail.
I have also checked out SIEMATIC, HACKER, VARENNA (POLIFORM) and POGGENPOHL which are similar to ALLMILMÖ but they lack something which I cant point at.
Please advise if my decision to purchase ALLMILMÖ KITCHEN is a wise decision.

    Regards,
    Jeas-Pierrw

      Jean-pierre – it sounds like they all are missing… a good designer…
They are as good as ALLMILMÖ.
      kitchenguy

  18. Jean-pierre

    Hi Kitchen Guy,

    Thanks for your prompt reply.
I totally agree with you in regards to GOOD DESIGNERS.
High end kitchen brands need professional designers to make the kitchen stand out.
I will proceed with purchasing my kitchen from ALLMILMÖ.

    Regards,
    Jean-Pierre

  19. angelo gigliotti

    Hallo kitchenguy
first of all thanks for the idea of ??creating this ranking . it is weeks that I’m trying to get informations on internet about kitchen brands, to understand how to assess them. As you say, the evaluation criterias are different , and often subjective , so I see lists with the brands placed before or after by various bloggers, unhelping actually to understand how to evaluate them . I would like to receive your opinion as Reading you I feel I can trust you the brands that I have on the table right now are: Boffi (which I know it may be considered the best among the others) Valcucine, Cesar, Salvarani, Schiffini, Modulnova, Binova, Archilnea, Mason’s, Veneta, Snaidero . I would be grateful if you could provide any ranking of these and give me some specific instructions for each ( type design, technology , quality materials , assitance tc )
    many thanks again
    A.G.

    1. kitchenguy

      A.G – this is a lot of work and I simply can’t do such a research voluntarily…
      Sorry,
      kitchenguy

  20. Tan

Have you heard about Biefbi? How is it compared with the Top 20 brand?

    1. kitchenguy

Tan – it doesn’t. That is why its not there… 🙂

  21. Alistair

Hi KG, just discovered your blog; nice!
What’s your opinion on Häcker kitchens in comparison to Next 125 (Schuller), quality wise?
We’re edging towards Häcker. Do you perhaps know if there’s a noticeable difference between the classicart and the systemat models?
    Much appreciated!

    1. kitchenguy

Alistair – both are good.Go for the designer/shop you like better.
      kitchenguy

  22. Mo

    Hi Kitchen Guy,
First off, thanks for all the information you provide on your blog. It is great and very helpful. Anyways I am currently debating between copat life and zeccinnon. Which would you recommend between the two? I’ve been told that copat is far superior to zeccinnon and that copat is more similar to companies like arclinea, snaidero, etc. copat is definitely much cheaper than those other higher end cabinet companies though so I don’t know if this is just talk that they are in the same class or if there is validity to this so I was just curious about your thoughts. We are looking at doing laminate finishes throughout also. The other option we have is a local cabinet guy that can do modern wood veneer cabinets. So could you also provide any thoughts on wood veneer vs laminate? Thanks so much for your time and sorry for the long question.

  23. Jon mark

Supprised by your omission of Effeti.

  24. Joel Schweitzer

    Hi Kitchen Guy

Thanks for your blog. Choosing a kitchen is turning into a nightmare. I feel like it is 1980 again and I am 22 trying to buy my first stereo system.

I have looked at many kitchens and seem to be narrowing down to Hacker or Siematic. Are there different quality levels within these brands? I have gotten a quote for Hacker (I notice it is ClassicArt from Hacker, but their website calls it price-conscious). Is this a different build/use quality than their SystematArt? The Hacker quote was about £7K. (for the benefit of readers, these prices are without appliances and worktops). Somewhere else I came across a higher end Hacker called Emotion. This isn’t even listed on their website.

In Siematic I have found a BeauxArt kitchen that looks good, but should I be concerned about different levels of quality and fittings? When I enquired about the price for the Siematic I was quoted £60-70K. (not directly comparable to Hacker as design has changed a bit). After recovery from sticker shock, I happened to come across a BeauxArt kitchen on display that is being sold from another kitchen shop. The ex-display price is comparable to the Hacker (I have a quote sheet with individual unit prices from Hacker so I could compare the units on the back of an envelop). Does S2 mean something for quality level of Siematic.

Since the quotes on the non-display kitchens are SO wide, I am now suspicious there are other differences I am not aware of. This suspicion furthered by a trip to John Lewis department stores, where a kitchen estimated for £7k ended up quoting for £20k. In the process I noted a magic corner for base unit was £1,000 (+VAT?) where my local builder merchant sells through Hafele for about £300. Are there wide ranges in quality of fittings for Blum, Grass and Hettiche? I have noticed in my current kitchen the pull out larder and the magic corner are much sturdier than I see in many of the Top 20 kitchens (unfortunately, there are no visible brand markings so I can specify the same).

Are there different quality levels in the structure of the kitchens? If so what do I ask about? Same for hardware.

    Thanks

    1. kitchenguy

Joel Schweitzer – the MAIN differences between these two brands are in the options. SieMatic has a lot more color options and are almost considered ‘bespok’ or ‘custom’, depending on the side of the globe you’re on. SieMatic also has a bigger brand, but you’re just buying a kitchen, not the company… right?
If what you are interested in (design, color, finish) is available in both brands, you know the answer alreday. If not, you must weigh in the other factors.
Dont forget to consider the designer/shop your buying from – they are sometimes as importent as the product!
      Good luck!
      kitchenguy

  25. Debu

Hi. Can you tell me if you feel that Binova is still a well made kitchen company with good finishes?

    1. kitchenguy

Debu – onfortunately, the company was bankrupt and purchased by Miton. It is not the same anymore…
      kitchenguy

  26. Kay

Hi, I want to buy a traditional top end kitchen in France. Any suggestions? Thanks

    1. kitchenguy

Kay – sorry, but the top end traditional kitchens in France are mostly done by local artisans…
      kitchenguy

  27. Tash

    Hi Kitchen Guy,

what is the best choice of lacquer gloss handleless kitchen. We choose between Hacker, Nolte and Lube.

    Thanks, Tash

  28. Dimitri

    Hi Kitchenguy,

Your forum has been a great help in my search for a kitchen so far!
If you had to choose between Pedini, Materika Series and Bulthaup, B1 Series, which one would you choose and why? Are these series comparable?
    Thanks in advance, lots appreciated.

    regards,
    Dimitri

    1. kitchenguy

Dimitri – they are both great products but The Materika has a lot more design options/colors/finishes – what is the look that you ‘re after?
      kitchenguy

      1. Dimitri

        Hello Kitchenguy,
The look I’m after is just a white minimalistic kitchen and was thinking of putting a countertop on it with an old copper look (neolith iron copper) to give it an industrial touch:) sorry for the late reaction and thanks again.
        Dimitri

  29. Mi

    Hi kitchen guy,
What will be your ranking of the following italian companies? Aster, Caesar, Effeti and Aran
    Thanks a lot

    1. kitchenguy

Mi – in terms of quality, design, etc., in this order: Effeti and Caesar (about the same), Aster, Aran.
      kitchenguy

  30. far

  31. Delta

    Hi Kitchenguy,

What can you say about Rimadesio? I know it’s not a kitchen brand but which among your top 20 brands can you compare Rimadesio with?

    Thanks!

    1. kitchenguy

Delta – it’s one of the Top 20 closet companies, if that is what you’re asking.
      kitchenguy

      1. Delta

        Thanks, Kitchenguy!

Can you make a top 20 list for closets as well?

        1. kitchenguy

Delta – sorry, you’ll need to find closetguy for that… 🙂
          kitchenguy

          1. Delta

LOL! Has closetguy been born yet?

          2. kitchenguy

Delta – yes. Now we arewaiting for him to come out of the closet…

  32. kitchen newbie

Hello Kitchenguy. I have been looking exclusively at bulthaup based on architect recommendation and only upon discovering your blog have I looked at semantic (online only, not at designer showroom). Can you please give me your thoughts on quality comparison? How much of a price difference might one see comparing apples to apples? Thank you.

    1. kitchenguy

kitchen newbie – I believe Bulthaup is a bit better than SieMatic, with that said, SieMatic offers many more styles and options and the quality difference is very small. As far as a price difference – it is hard to say. Bulthaup is usally sold in fancy, exclusive, mono-brand showrooms and are priced very high. Siematic on the other hand, could be sold at either a similar set up, but also in multi-brand showrooms and even sometimes in a discount type outfit.

Thanks so much for this great resource. I’m replacing Canac kitchen cabinetry & added a Pedini island 3 yrs ago since Canac was dissolved. The Pedini dealer I worked with is no longer carrying that line but has moved on to Poliform. Another dealer in the area carries Alno & Leict. Can you rate these options, please? I would really prefer to use a local dealer & not travel 200 miles to work with Pedini even though I love my island. Thanks so much!

    1. kitchenguy

Juli – You’re very welcome. Where are you located?
      kitchenguy

  34. Juli

I’m in Austin, TX. More than likely working with Arete, they carry Leicht & Alno. The owner & staff seem meticulous so I’m comfortable with them just hoping that one of those brands will live up to my expectations. Do you prefer one over the other? Thanks again.

    1. kitchenguy

Juli – between these two, I’d go with Leicht.
      kitchenguy

      1. Lenny

Why do you say Leicht over ALNO, curious as I also have the choice.

“Surprizingly, there are a few kitchen brands on this list that have a pretty good value, as well as ranking high on all the other categories.”
The above was in your intro comment, Which of the companies are you referring to a being surprising with regards to good value and still high in the remaining categories?

    1. kitchenguy

Hank – these 3: Häcker, Mobalpa & Pedini

Hi Kitchen Guy- We’re in Los Angeles and are getting quotes from Boffi, Bulthap, and Poggenpohl. How would you rank them? We’re looking for a clean modern look with underpull/recess for opening (no handles). We initially expected Boffi to be a lot more expensive but the quotes are all coming in around the same price range. Any advice? clear winner for you?

    1. kitchenguy

Jennifer – Bulthaup, Boffi, Poggenpohl, in that order.

  38. Vinay

    Hi KitchenGuy

    Interesting blog of yours..

Am looking for renovating my kitchen entirely; bit confused which brand to go with – Jenn-Air, Boffi, Bulthaup, or Gaggenau – would like to go with someone who can offer both the appliances as well as cabinetry – could you please suggest.

Also, any of these brands represented / available in India

    1. kitchenguy

Vinay – Jenn-Air and gaggenau are appliance brands while Boffi and Bulthaup are cabinets…
Both cabinets are great. Gaggenau is a much higher-end brand than Jenn-Air

  40. Francesca

    Dear Kitchenguy,
I love this page! I live in Luxembourg and I’m looking mainly at German and Italian kitchens and the ones I looked so far are in your list!
    I hope my question doesn’t sound stupid…
Among your top 20 European kitchen brands could you please state the following (if possible):
    Best kitchen in terms of quality and design;
    Cheapest kitchen;
    Best kitchen in therms of ratio quality/price;
    Thanks.
    Francesca

    1. kitchenguy

Francesca – the question is not stupid, but it is not possible to give a simple answer, as they all have many model, at different price points…

one other question for you: Laminate or lacquered doors?
everyone seems to have a different opinion on it!

    1. kitchenguy

guido – that is very individual, that’s why “everyone seems to have a different opinion on it”…

    Hi Kitchenguy,
Thank you for all the enlightenment you bring to the confusing topic of selecting a kitchen.
Do you know any thing about the Brazilian brands Ornare and Florense. If you do what do you think about them.

    Best regards,
    Solo

    1. kitchenguy

sologemeni – Sorry, no… The Brazillian market is a local one – very little import and almost no export.

  45. Susan Lopez

    Hello Kitchen Guy-

First, I’d like to thank you for an excellent blog. Reading through the articles and comments has helped immeasurably in my research for a new kitchen provider. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

I have an unusual situation in that I’m an American located in Southern France (high prices) near the border with Northern Italy (low prices) My previous kitchen in a new construction flat was a modern, higher end Comprex in cherry and stainless. This lasted 15 years, performed well, and is still in excellent shape (all of the kitchen guys have commented) but is now dated.

I would like to enter my retirement with a new modern design that will take me through the next 15 years. Your blog has helped me narrow the field considerably and I like Varenna and some of the others from your Top 20–but then my contractor brought a French kitchen guy that only carries Alno. Things I like about Alno -interesting and modern design options with up-to-date colors and finishes in glass and ceramic. Things I don’t like- fewer cutting edge options for the door mechanics and the interiors are basic- I cannot judge quality or construction but they are German.

From your blog I have come to realize that Alno is not at the level I am seeking and the French kitchen guy will charge more for this than a higher end option sourced from Italy. If I choose the Italian option then we will have an interesting time having them work with the contractor as he speaks only French. But enough of my problems…

The question is, would I be making a massive tradeoff in quality over the long term for ease in the short term?

Thanks again for your great advice.

    1. kitchenguy

Susan Lopez – You should be able to find many Italian brands where you are. It sounds like your contractor wants to “push” his own guy. That alone should concern you – how much money is he making off this…?

        Thank you for you comments.
I think that in order to get back in control here I will take a bit more time and research some companies in Liguria and Piemonte. I really like Boffi, Valcucine, and Pedini.

        1. kitchenguy

Susan Lopez – all 3 are great choices.
          Good luck!

  46. Samira

Dear Kitchenguy I am small company owner in Iran, we do kitchens perfectly matching Irans needs, yet since the sanctions are being lifted we want to expand and increase technology , creativity and of course modernity.

is there any brand or company you would recommend that is willing to spread its arms and partner with a company in Iran in order to increase its assets and sales?

I am looking for a company that offers great quality and vastly different themes from modern to classic to post modern and at the same time has a very very reasonable price.

your suggestions would keen a lot.

    Sincerely Yours

    1. kitchenguy

Samira – a company that offers “great quality and vastly different themes from modern to classic to post modern and at the same time has a very very reasonable price.” only exists in fairy tales…
Qualit, Design and Price – chose which 2 you must have and forget about the third. Then, you can start looking for a product.

    Hello KitchenGuy–

I’m just wondering if you have heard about this company called Nolte Kuchen from Germany? I’ve had mine in my family for almost 18 years now and I’m just wondering how does this brand compare in terms of price and quality to your chosen 20 names? Is this company considered low/mid/high end (It’s been a while so I have no idea)? I got an upcoming project and I’m wondering if it’s time to look into another brand. I really like Bulthaup but I am not sure if it makes sense cost wise because I have a feeling that all european kitchen distributors in my area are taking advantage of the market. Also, what are your thoughts on Blum (LOL).

  48. Marcia delman

My contractor is insisting on Linea Quattro. I’d so appreciate an opinion from you on the co. Product and reputation.
    Thank you
