Europeans have been producing kitchens, in factories (vs. carpenter’s shops) for about 100 years now.

The countries that have the largest amount of kitchen brands are: Italy and Germany. They probably produce about 90% of the kitchens sold in Europe. They also are the largest exporters of kitchens outside of Europe.

You will also find some large kitchen factories in England, France, Denmark, Sweden, Spain and other European countries.

On the right side of the page are the European kitchen companies, by country. If you know a kitchen company, that is not listed, please contact us and will gladly add it.

    Hello Kitchen Guy :
Have you finished your project of rating the top modular kitchen manufactures of Europe ? Is it possible to get by best value for money, best quality, best brand, etc. ?
Do you know of any place where I can get this information, as I am planning to visit some of them who are interested in starting business with us. We would like companies who also do bathroom furniture and bedroom wardrobes too if possible.
    The site is really nice.
    Keep up the good work.
Where are you based out of, waiting for your reply, untill then take care.
    Regards
    Pranav

    Hi Pranav,
Thanks for the kind words – glad you like this blog.
I’m in the process of gathering info to be able to compile the TOP 10 list – you can help by posting your TOP 10.
I’ll be happy to assist you in selecting products.

    Hi,
is there a possibility of getting a list of Italian kitchen brands in India?
    ———————————————————————
Sorry, but I do not have this information – you may want to contact the Italian embassy in India – they will have access to such info.

Hi, can you provide any information about Florida kitchens? I am considering Pedini vs. Florida, and know the latter has a lower price point. But I’m trying to find out about the quality, especially materials and finish.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kitchenguy,

I am about to purchase a german kitchen and the two choices I am mulling over are schuller and rational. What is your view on both companies and can you recommend any other?
    Thanks!
    —————————————————————————————————-
    Hi,
They are both good brands – personally, I prefer Schuller but it depends on the model you like and other factors.

  5. Susana

I am currently remodeling our kitchen. I am deciding between biefbi and mitten Italian cabinet line in thermafoil/mdf? Do you have any recommendation for either one? I’m on a very tight time constraint as well as budget. Thank you

  6. Susana

There was a typo in my previous post. The two companies I am deciding between are biefbi and miton. Which is better quality?
    ——————————————————————————————–
    Hi Susana,
Both companies are very similar – they are both a “price driven’ product, meaning, their main focus is the price, not so much the quality, selection, etc. If this is what you’re looking for, I see no difference. I suggest you choose the local dealer carefully – they are more important than the brand, in your case.
    Good luck!
    kitchenguy

  7. Susana

Thank you. The dealer has an excellent reputation and does impeccable work. I was concerned because she was first getting the Miton 400 cabinets and now thinks I am better off with the Biefbi Elba Laminates HPL. She said it’s a little better quality and finer finish as well as a quicker delivery time. Since I don’t know much about cabinet lines, your blog has been very informative. Any additional information from the information I just provided would be a great help.

    Hi Kitchen Genious!!

Wow! What a site. Thank you so much for your wonderful expertise! Just wondering if you could give me your opinion on Bulthaup. Is it really worth it? They are much more expensive than most on the list but seems to really be focused on funcionality and design. Are there any cheaper alternatives to Bulthaup that we could find in Barcelona, Spain.

    Thanks again for your help.
    ————————————————————————————————–
    Thanks for the compliment!

Bulthaup is a great product. Some Spanish brands have somewhat of a similar look (like Santos), but it is not close in quality and all the details and interiors are missing… Some other higher-end European brands, can get similar quality but I’m not sure what’s available in your area.

    Good luck!

    Hi kitchenguy guru,

We live in NYC and are deciding between Aster and Euromobil Italian cabinets for our kitchen remodeling. How are they compared in terms of quality, durability and quality to price ratio? Thanks in advance for your expert advice.

    Wonderful information resource, kitchenguy.

Having visited many kitchen showrooms across London, I have been most impressed by the combination of design and engineering at Bulthaup. At the three levels of low-, medium- and high-budget options, which kitchen manufacturers would you recommend as alternatives to Bulthaup, that respect similar design and quality principles, accounting for budget of course?

    Thanks!

Any personal opinions on PoggenPohl, Alno or Dada? This is becoming quite an exhaustive search for a new kitchen!!!

  16. Christine Potthast

    Kitchenguy…
your website is incredible and after searching on and off for months in a dschungle of kitchen manufacturers, I am trying to make a decision and
I am so glad I came across this website. I am in Houston and I have seen a display of Woodmode, Ultracraft, Poggenpohl and Siematic but don’t have
quotes yet. I have already excluded Woodmode.
We like some of the details about Ultracraft, for example the well designed corner (lazy susan). It is better than any of the German brands I have seen.
Also, they offer a lifetime warranty.
For the German manufacturers, we like the attention to details in SieMatic kitchens and some of their door styles but they may be out of our price range. –
We fell in love with two of the Poggenpohl door designs. – For Alno and Nolte, I have not seen neither display nor catalogue.
I don’t know much about Allmilmoe and Eggersmann. Are they comparable to Bulthaup?
To make things even harder, I read your recommendation about Hacker, a company did not know before but have contacted now. They have a good website. –

    Here is are question:
How does Ultracraft compare to the German brands?
How would you compare SieMatic, Bulthaup, Poggenpohl, Nolte and maybe Alno? – Could you give a ranking?

Thank you so much for this blog,
    Christine Potthast
    ———————————————————————————————–
    Hi there!
Thanks for the kind words – we are thrilled that you love this blog and that you return often.
Here is the answer to your question:
Ultracraft and these German brands do not compare at all – they are in completely different leagues!
If you budget allows you to purchase one of the German brands, you are better off. If not, than you should look at Ultracraft and compare it with products that are similar, made in the US and Canada.
As far as the German brands – this is my personal ranking of these brands:
    1. Bulthaup
    2. SieMatic
    3. Poggenpohl
    4. Alno
    5. Nolte.
Keep in mind that this is my personal opinion on product quality – this has nothing to do with the level of design expertese and/or service of the local showroom you’ll be ordering it from. This is just as importent and at time even more importent than the product itself. Unlike cars, you’re not purchasing a ready-made product you can just drive.
    Good luck!
    kitchenguy

  17. Abdallah

    thanks kitchenguy !

As asked in my last questions what do you personaly think about cuisines schmidt do they compete with german brands as per quality and price ratio ?!?!
Any further infos about rosieres appliances ?!?1

    Thanks again.

Kitchenguy .. Great site. I hope you can help with a couple of questions.

I am looking to build a 4mx4m (16m2) kitchen – U shape with a 2.8m center island. We live the French part of Switzerland. I have studied Leicht and see that they offer polypropylene, melamine, foil, lacquer, acrylic, veneer, laminates. Then of course, from other manufacturers we have wood and painted mdf. We also have Ikea, which to my mind offers amazing value for money – 25 year guarantee with what seem like the same technologies but not much choice.

I have heard that PP (polypropylene plastic) is the best covering available as it minimizes VOCs and formaldehyde emissions the most. Then comes melamine resin… (is this the same as melamine foil?) Do you have any views on this?

    My questions are:

    1. how do the different material types compare with each other – which is the most hard wearing?
    2. how does one assess the ecological health credentials… kitchens that do not give off VOCs and farmaldehyde?
    3. what is the quality of the melamine on an Ikea door vs. a Nolte.g? How can one assess the quality by just looking?
    4. any thoughts on the idea of building a kitchen out of plywood and paint… this way the look can be changed cheaply after say 10 years…!

    Thanks, kkc.
    ——————————————————————————–
    Hi kkc,
Thanks for visiting and I’m glad you enjoy this site.
Most European brands offer similar door finishes. I’m sorry, but IKEA is not in the level of Leicht, or most of the other European brands – it is not just the number of choices…
    1. There is not one answer, regarding the strongest finish – it all depends on the usage the kitchen will get (how often, kids/pets, climate, etc.).
    2. You need to read about the product – here are a couple of an example – http://www.valcucine.it/ecosostenibilita/3:sostenibilita_ripristino_delle_materie_prime_rinnovabili and http://www.pediniusa.com/pedini/pedinigreen.htm.
    3. Nolte’s is better than IKEA. It is hard to assess the quality by just looking, though the edging sometimes gives away a cheaper melamine door.
    4. You are pretty much describing American made kitchens… The look is not everything – what about the technology? For example: 10 years ago, standard drawers were not full-extension and did not have a soft-closing…
    Good luck!

I’m looking for modern Italian kitchen in high gloss finish not crazy expensive. I’m considering COPAT vs. Florida. Please help me with information about their quality.
    Thanks,
    Lena
    ———————————————————————————————-
    Hi Lena,
I’m not sure where you are located, so it is hard to make a recommendation on a specific brand, but the best deal I’ve see recently, on high gloss finish kitchen, is from Pedini – visit your local Pedini dealer (they are spread throughout the US and most of the world) and check out the Magika model – it is limited in colors, but the price-to-quality ratio is superb!
    Good luck,
    kitchenguy

  24. Lena

    Hello:
Thanks for your reply. I’m looking for specific finish in ebony high gloss. I already got the estimate from Pedini on that finish and the price was very high. I realy like Pedini’s quality, it’s my first choice, but at the same time I would like to have my future kitchen in ebony finish. I also found around my area two other brands which have the same finish and much cheaper: Astra and Copat. Could you please give me an advice which one to choose based on the criterias described above?

  25. kkc

Hi Kitchenguy…. thanks for your answers. One more: could you rate Nobilia relative to some other German kitchen brands e.g. Leicht, Bulthaup etc. Thanks in advance, kkc.

  26. malvika

sir went through whole list. v r renovating the kitchen and our architect has suggested, enox, haffle and kese boomer and bloom in assorted version at our place. prices r sky high. r these the reputed brands bcoz mostly they r not listed here. anymay in India desginer kitchens is a new concept. so was in dilemma if the investment is correct or not. my kitchen is huge. if u could guide me?
    thanks in advance.
    dr malvika
    ———————————————————————————————–
    Dear Melvika,
Häfele, Kesseböhmer and Blum ARE all listed, but under European Hardware Companies, which is what they are – they do not manufacture complete kitchens. Enox seem to be an Indian company that also sells components.
Perhaps you should visit a kitchen store, without your architect and see what they can offer you.
    Good luck!

Hacker is a fine product that offers a ‘good-better-best’ program of models.

I would like to aim for a wide customer base and hacker has the classic range through to the top emotion range. If you can give me some advise on maybe another brands that offer excellent service and quality with a competative price. I would much apreciate your input.

      Hi James
Not sure if its too late, but have you considered Schroder?

It would offer you a well priced German Kitchen and some exclusivity.

    Hi Ali,
There are many country distressed companies in Europe, though they are mostly Italian, English and french – not German – see Marchi, D’angeli, Chalon and Ateliers Jean Daniel , to name just a few.

We live in Canada and are deciding between Sie-Matic and Scavolini. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi,
This is like deciding between a high end expensive German car and an economy Italian car…
SieMatic is by far, a much better product, but will also end up costing you much more – this is really not a competition.
      Good luck,

Which is better Schuller or Rational?

What is the price quality ratio for these brands?

    Any equivalent UK brands?

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi there,
They are similar and it really depends on which model you are looking at, in both brands.
UK brands are not strong in delivering modern, quality cabinetry, with a good value…
      Good luck,

  33. Daniel

hi, your site is really informative.
We are considering a Brion kitchen (Brinkmeier). The distributer says it is a fantastic product, but we have not been able to find out any information on it. And I don’t see a mention on your site. We are deciding between it and a Schuller kitchen. What do you think…
    Thanks.

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi Daniel,
You stomped me… 🙂 I really don’t know much about Brinkmeier, so I prefer not to comment, until I gather enough information.
Will be back soon with more info.
      Thanks for your patience,
      kitchenguy

        1. kitchenguy

Thanks Joe – I know the company and they have been listed on this site, under German Companies, I just don’t know enough about them, to be able to give a fair evaluation.
As soon as I get enough info, I will gladly post it.
          kitchenguy

          1. kitchenguy

Okay – got the info for you! –

Brinkmeier is a relatively small company (about 120 employees) and don´t do much export (Only about 20 % of their total turnover).

Their new product BRION 130, is a modular system (many of their competitors already have it for more than 10 years). Being that it is brand new for them, it is a very limited line, at this point. Once they find new (up-market) dealers to promote it, they will be able to expand it and offer more choices.
To my opinion they are not as good as Schüller.

  34. joe

    Hello kitchen guy,

I live in beyrouth lebanon and I am willing to get a schmidt designed kitchen. In fact they offered me a very modern kitchen design in mdf laquered for a very good and lower price then poggenpohl and Bulthaup!
    Here is are question:
How does Schmidt kitchens compare to this German brands?

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi Joe,
Schmidt is very close to Poggenpohl, in terms of quality, but with less of a brand name, so if it a substantially a lower price, the value is good. Bulthaup is a higher end product then both of them.
If you want an even better value, I hear that Pedini is coming to Beirut soon…
      Good luck,
      kitchenguy

      1. joe

Does Pedini stand next to schmidt in terms of quality and brand name ?!?!

        1. kitchenguy

Joe – Pedini is just as good, if not better, has a lot more design options and exciting designs – see http://www.pediniusa.com.
As far as branding is concerned, it really depends on what part of the world you’re in – in most countries where you can find both brands, Pedini has a stronger branding, as a higher end product.
          kitchenguy

    2. Chirine

      Hey Joe and Kitchenguy!
I don’t want to compare kitchen brands but I just wanted to inform Joe that Nolte Kuchen is now available in Beirut – Badaro street. So maybe you can come check it out.

      1. joe

        Hi Chirine !

Thanks a lot for your invite but I did order a Schmidt kitchen two weeks ago…
Anyway thanks again kitchenguy for your advices and keep on the good work.

        Good luck!

    Hi KitchenGuy,

I’m looking around for a brand new kitchen and I was wondering which one of Alno, Nolte et Gatto are the best from a quality point of view.

Thanks for your point of view.

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi,
All 3 brands are ‘price point driven’ and are approx the same, in terms of quality and pricing.
      Good luck,
      kitchenguy

  36. Zamira

    Dear Kitchen Guy,
We are looking for a good quality to price ratio kitchen line to represent in our country. The only Italian Kitchens available in our market are Scavollini and Aran Cucine. We want to find a line that will compete in price and offers a good quality product.
Could you make a recomendation. We are open to italian or spanish kitchens. I believe the german brands would be too high priced for our market,

    Thanks,
    Zamira

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi Zamira,
This is a hard question – finding a good quality product, to compete in price with these two ‘price point’ products is nearly impossible… – products that will be able to compete with these two, will have to be also ‘price point’ products and so their focus will be the price, and not so much the quality. Any quality product, will end up being more expensive…
I think you need to decide if you want to offer a lower price product and simply compete with these two on price, or offer a better quality product and offer your market a better-quality alternative.
      Good luck,
      kitchenguy

  37. Kate

    Dear Kitchenguy-
We are in love with the SE 2002RF line from Siematic but it is probably going to be out of our price range. Are there any other cabinet manufacturers with similar door styles and matte lacquer finishes? Thanks for your time!

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi,
The SE 2002RF is a classic ‘shaker style’ door and you should have a very easy time finding it. Being that you are located in the US, there are even more choices than in other parts of the world – numerous American and Canadian brands produce this door as well, at a lesser cost.
      Good luck!
      kitchenguy

  38. jw

    dear kichen expert,
I come across a brand call EUROPLAK, what is the ranking of this brand among other european brands? can i have a list of top 20 kichen brands in europe ? of couse it will suject to youe own assessment and we have total trust on you.
    thank you for your help.
    JW

    1. kitchenguy

JW – thank you for the trust in me!

Europlak is a small kitchen company that is part of a small/medium furniture company, making bedrooms and children furniture. They are not a top 20 (or 100, for that matter) kitchen brand in Europe…

This is my personal top 20 European kitchen brands, in alphabetical order, and based on the following criteria’s – DESIGN, INNOVATION, PRODUCT QUALITY and SERVICE. I’m not including COMPANY SIZE, because it is not a benefit to you, the consumer (to see the largest brands in Europe, see my post on this subject. I’ll try to get an update on that list, as there were several changes since then), or VALUE, as it is very individual.
Allmilmö, Arclinea, Binova, Boffi, Bulthaup, Dada, Eggersman, häcker, Pedini, Poggenpohl, Schiffini, Schmidt, SieMatic, Smallbone, Snaidero, Strato, Toncelli, Valcucine, Varenna, Zeyko.

    Hi kitchenguy ,

what do you think about stosa cucine !?!
how do you compare it to pedini and to other italian brands.

    thanks.

    1. kitchenguy

      Dear Joe,
Stosa is a nice, medium level product. Pedini is totally in a different league and “…the other Italian brands” – it really depends on which one…
      Thanks,
      kitchenguy

      1. jabba

sorry …. also meant to add hacker to that list too …

  40. azleen

    Hi.

We are living in Mauritius and currently trying to renovate/remodel our kitchen. There are 3 major companies here Mobalpa, Schmidt and Nobilia (the company also sells haecker but didnt propose this to us).

Prices are all above market prices if compared locally made ones. My questions are

    1. There are variances in the warranty of kitchen fittings (from 10 years to 25 years) and cabinets (4 years to 10 years). All this part of their sales pitch(es). How true is this? and which do we believe? Obviously we would like the best warranty and kitchen as a kitchen is at least a 10 year investment.

2.Differences in quality in all three?

    3. What do you look for when assessing quality?

    4. Do we consider local counter parts? They use Hafele accessories. What can we look for when we assess their quality in kitchen cabinets?

The country has high humidity and typically tropical with cool and hot season. Your advise would be much appreciated.

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi,
Here are the answers to your questions:
      1. The warranty is only as good as the company behind it. Obviously, if the local company/dealer is out of business in two years, the warranty is somewhat worthless… – the most solid of the 3, with the strongest reputation, is sometimes more important than the manufacturer’s warranty. Also, read the warranty and see what exactly is covered. Many times it is a very “limited” warranty. Lastly, if you chose the better product, the warranty becomes secondary – if there’s nothing to fix, who cares how long the warranty is for…?
      2. Mobalpla is better, then Schmidt and last Nobilia.
      3. – The box construction – what is made of, how thick and how it is put together (steel or plastic legs, solid top or open, for example).
      – The hardware – drawers, hinges, etc. Blum, Glass, Hettich and Salice are all good. All have grades of quality, within their offerings though.
      – How the doors are finished.
      4. I say – no. The reason is that the smaller suppliers, in the local markets, just don’t have the ability to manufacture the same quality at the same price. They buy materials in smaller quantities and therefore pay more, they do not have state of the art machinery, that produces a perfect product, like the ‘big boys’ and they don’t have the ‘cutting edge’ technology and design features. The large brands, know how to produce cabinets that will have no issues in your climate.
      Good luck,

    Hi,

I am looking to remodel my kitchen and the options available in my country are Aran, Santos and Veneta. Your recommendation?

    Thanks.

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi Cris,
Based on having only the 3 choices, I’m assuming you’re somewhere in South America (am I right?).
I would go with Santos – though all 3 are ‘price driven’ products and are of similar quality, Santos is at least more exciting and original.
      Good luck!

    Hi kithecguy,

Many thanks for all your abovelisted repliyes! Quite informative and usefull!
I’m faced with question about HANAK (Chezck kithens). Any thought about their performance and quality? HOw can you rank them in comparence with Nolte?
    Thanks,
    Anton

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi Anton,
HANÁK is a much smaller company, than Nolte – for this reason, they are more flexible (custom) but their quality control is not going to be as good. If you are located in the Czech Republic and especially if you’re going for a custom look, it may be a better choice. But if you’re somewhere else in Europe and am looking for more of a standard look – go with Nolte.
      Good luck!

    Hi Kitchen Guy (cool name)

We are considering Siematic (S2) and Binova (Continua CH) in Laminate (because we believe it to be more hard wearing in the Cyprus hot weather). Please comment on the quality of the two kitchens and the choice of laminate over the laquer for a kitchen that is almost outdoors!

    Thanks

    Maria

    1. kitchenguy

Hi Maria (cool name also :))
I like them both equally, so your choice should be based on looks and the dealer selling them (very important to like the designer and the store).
Regarding the fact that it is going to be almost outdoors, I recommend you you advise the dealer that this is what you are intend on doing and let them approve this usage. Laminate generally is not great in a humid, outdoor use.
      Good luck,

    Hello Kitchen Guy,

Absolutely a great blog, super informative, thank you very much! I live in Greater London and I am trying to work my way through lots of kitchen show rooms and brouchers to make a decision as to the quality of the products that I am looking at. Your blog has been of emmense help, however the question I am asking is, I would really appreciate it if you would be able to list the following kitchens in order of quality? It would be great to have your guidance!

Dada, Poggenpohl, Rok punt,Varenna, Hacker, Nolte, Brion, Valcucine, Tisettanta, Pendini, Schuller, Siematic, Nobilia,
Almilmo, Boffi,Bulthaup,Buckermann, Cococucine,Metris, Prentice, Scavolini,Mereway, Second Nature, Intuo, Crown Imperial, optiplan, English Rose,Ewe,Edwinloxley, Sigma3,

Look forward to hearing from you!

      Hi Mike,
Thanks for the kind words, but I’m not sure that I like the homework you’ve assigned me… 🙂
Here is your list, in order of better/best quality:
Better quality – Beckermann, Nolte, Cococuine (Maistri), Brion (by Brinkmeier), Scavolini, Nobilia and Ewe.
Best quality – Dada, Poggenpohl, Haecker, Valcucine, Tisettanta, Pedini, Siematic, Almilmo, Boffi and Bulthaup,
Metris, Prentice, Mereway, Rock punt, Second Nature, Intuo, Crown Imperial, optiplan, English Rose, Edwinloxley and Sigma3, are all local British factories/shops (some I’ve never heard of…) – I really don’t know much about their products, etc.
      Good luck!

    Dear Kitchen Guy,

Great thanks, this helps!! so one final question am I right in thinking ( from reading your blog ) that you rate Hacker over schuller for quality?

    Cheers !!

    Hi Kitchen Guy

I am the UK agent for Schroder Kitchens, I noticed we haven’t been mentioned yet on your informative blog. we offer a great product at an affordable price with loads of options such as colour matched carcass inside and out as standard, one of the most competitive high gloss lacquers in the marketplace, not to mention a variety of antiqued oak doors and matt lacquers in all the RAL/ Sikkens/NCS colours, oh and a proper handleless kitchen! We are in the process of expanding our dealer network in the UK.

    thanks

Just added Schroder to the links.
      Thanks,

    Hi Kitchen Guy,

Fantastic Blog and great info imparted by yourself, exactly what I need.

Am in the process of sourcing a kitchen, have a bit of a dilema deciding on kitchen brand. our 3 choices are Bulthup, Eggersman or Dada. Are they all in the same ‘high-end’ category

Our architect is pushing for Bulthup, I visited an Eggersman showroom and loved the product, but by chance we came across Dada which I had never heard of before, I really liked the kitchen, was told it was less expensive than Bulthup but I don’t want to compromise on the quality, so would like your views please.

    Thank you.

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi Caroline,
All 3 are great kitchens. In terms of who’s better – based on my Top 20 criteria’s – Bulthaup, then Dada and then Eggersman.
      Good luck!

        HI Kitchenguy,

Thanks so very much for your response and for .

It’s down to Bulthaup and Dada now, Had a meeting with Bulthaup yesterday and was disappointed to find that they don’t have all the accessories I would like. Also I prefer the look of the B1 kitchen, but have to have a combination of B3 and B1 to allow me to have the bigger ovens, and fridge, which I would like.

Still waiting to get quote and plan from Dada, but it seems they had all the accessories I would like.

Another sticking point is, as I am in Switzerland am hoping we can take benefit from the strong swiss franc against the Euro, but looks like Bulthaup won’t budge on their price to recognise the fall in the Euro. Whereas Dada were open to us paying in Euro.

So at the moment, Dada are a little bit ahead, but I think my heart is with Bulthaup. It will be interesting to see how both quotes come in.

Sound like you’re in the right direction – all the best!

    Dear Kitchen Guy

If you had to choose between a Haecker kitchen or a Bulthaup b1 kitchen (their cheaper range) and there wasn’t much price difference between the two, which would you go for?

Thank you if you get time to consider this!

    1. kitchenguy

      Hi Robert,
It is a hard question and Haecker also have a good/better/best systems.
If it is Bulthaup’s b1, against Haecker’s better system – I’d go with Haecker.
      Good luck!
      kitchenguy

      1. Robert

Thank you kitchen guy. Saw both today with architect and we agreed with you.
